Chelmsford double !

07 July 2018

SINGYOURSONG and PLENTYINTHETANKSIR completed a winning double for trainer David Simcock at Chelmsford on Saturday afternoon, under Stevie Donohoe.

Singyoursong took the one mile two furlong class three fillies' handicap under a patient ride, closing on the leaders over two furlongs out and going on to win impressively by five lengths. Now a five-year-old, by Aqlaam (GB) out of Dhan Dhana (IRE), Singyoursong is owned by Saeeed Jaber.

PLENTYINTHETANKSIR took the one mile class six handicap, also under a patient ride, switching right over one furlong out and making headway under pressure inside the final furlong and running on strongly to challenge close home, taking the lead at the post by a nose. This was his first racecourse victory, scored at his fifth racecourse visit. A three year-old gelding by Leroidesanimaux (BRZ) out of Granule (GB), Plentyinthetanksir is owned by The Future.
