Aquilla wins well at Thirsk

AQUILLA ran out a convincing winner of a Thirsk maiden this afternoon, scoring by two lengths under rider Martin Harley.
The Teofilo filly rewarded connections' patience with victory in a mile and a half contest, asserting well at the business end of what was her third career start.
Sent off as the 6/4 favourite, she was never far away and took up the running with three furlongs left to run.
Trainer David Simcock's charge was in command at the furlong pole and Harley will have had few concerns as his mount breezed home an easy winner.
