MODERNISM was given a good ride by Jim Crowley to win a 1m2f handicap at Lingfield on Thursday afternoon.

Crowley soon settled the son of Monsun at the head of affairs before he was headed with a mile to run.

He picked up well rounding the bend and made his challenge at the furlong pole.
Modernism hit the front with 100yards to run and went on to hold all challenges at bay by a neck.
