MINDUROWNBUSINESS got his career off to the best possible start when winning a seven-furlong maiden at Lingfield this afternoon.
The son of Cape Cross, owned by Mrs Julia Annable, showed a professional attitude throughout under a confident ride by in-form jockey Jim Crowley.
The field were taken along at a sedate tempo by the favourite Sherston. Mindurownbusiness travelled well in behind before Crowley switched to the outer to make his challenge with two furlongs to run.
Mindurownbusiness quickened up well and was soon in command. Crowley pushed him out under hands and heels to win by a length and a quarter.
Tom Clover, assistant trainer, said: "He is a colt we like and hopefully he can he a decent future. Ours normally improve for the run so this was very promising."
