Valuable AW triumph for Whispering Warrior

08 March 2014

WHISPERING Warrior returned to winning ways with a game success in the £50,000 Lincoln trial at Wolverhampton this afternoon.

The son of Oasis Dream was given a well-timed ride by Jim Crowley, who produced his mount between runners to get up on the line.

He raced smoothly in the midfield before Crowley made the decision to make his run towards the inside.

The pacesetter Tellovoi was sticking bravely to the task but Whispering Warrior was too strong, winning by half a length going away.

Crowley said: “I got a good run through and he was very strong in the last furlong. He´s a versatile horse as he´s won on good to soft as well, and it´s onwards and upwards for him.”
