Gutsy triumph for Castilo

CASTILO Del Diablo put up a gutsy display to win a two-mile conditions event at Kempton this afternoon.
The son of Teofilo has now earned automatic qualification for the AW championship two-mile race at Lingfield on April 18.
He was settled into a good rhythm by Jamie Spencer, tracking the leader, Clowance Estate.
He was well positioned to strike rounding the bend and picked up well once the gap came on the inside.
The leader didn't go down without a fight but Castilo Del Diablo stuck his neck out gamely to win by a head.
