SUNDAY is a massive day for Trillium Place with two Grade 1 runners at Woodbine in Canada and another in France.
Trade Storm will have a second shot at the Woodbine Mile in which he finished third in last year.
The six-year-old returned to form with a big run in the Group 3 Strensall Stakes at York last month when he was only beaten a gallant neck.
Stable-mate Sheikhzayedroad is also in Canada, tackling the Northern Dancer Stakes over a mile and a half.
He has been freshened up by trainer David Simcock since winning a Group 2 at York in July.
David is due to arrive in Canada on race-day before heading down to the second week of the sales in Keeneland.
He said: “Both Sheikhzayedroad and Trade Storm have been training very well in the lead-up to their respective races.
“I was very pleased with Trade Storm’s run at York last time. Sheikhzayedroad is a model of consistency and runs well fresh. He never lets us down and will run his race on Sunday.”
Also in Group 1 action in France on Sunday is the Musidora Stakes winner Madame Chiang. She is set to contest the Prix Vermeille at Longchamp and David said: “It looks a very tough assignment.”
Much closer to home, today sees Battle of Marengo tackling the Group 2 Doncaster Cup over two miles and two furlongs. This is a bit of an experiment with the horse never having raced over further than a mile and a half before.
David said: “We are trying something different. He is a more than capable horse on his day and we just want to get him enjoying himself.”
David has already had one winner at this year’s St Leger meeting with The Corsican scoring in yesterday’s mile and a quarter handicap.
An 11/2 shot, jockey Jim Crowley brought him from the rear of the field to lead late on and ultimately score by a length.
