Wins for Cartier and Related

16 December 2014

TRILLIUM Place continues to make its mark on the all-weather season with Cartier and Related notching recent successes.

Cartier made it third time lucky when she landed a mile fillies’ maiden at Kempton this afternoon.

The daughter of Montjeu had finished third on both of her previous starts, but broke through in good style under jockey Jim Crowley.

Trainer David Simcock’s charge was well drawn in two and took up a position in the midfield before making relentless progress from three furlongs out.

The 7/2 shot hit the front with over a furlong to go and skipped clear in the closing strides to score by two and three quarter lengths.

Related made a pleasing return to action towards the end of last week, landing a seven-furlong handicap at Kempton.

The four-year-old gelding raced prominently throughout and showed a good attitude late in the piece to hold on for a half-length success.

Related, sent off an 11/1 chance, has now notched two wins in his last three outings.
