Intrude scores at Lingfield
29 May 2015
INTRUDE made a winning reappearance at Lingfield in a mile maiden for trainer David Simcock and Trillium Place.
The Intikhab gelding was last seen out more than seven months earlier at Redcar. But there were few signs of rustiness as he put a field of 10 rivals to the sword.
Owned by Happy Valley Racing and Breeding, Intrude was sent off a 10/1 chance for jockey Jim Crowley.
But he made light of those odds after being held up in midfield. Crowley launched him from over a furlong out before switching him left for a telling run.
Intrude proved a willing partner every step of the way for Crowley and the pair ended up securing victory by a length and a half.
