Balios a possible for French G1

TRAINER David Simcock is weighing up whether to head to France with Balios for next Tuesday's Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris.
The Shamardal colt gave a five-star display when winning the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot for the Trillium Place stable.
Now he is under consideration for a step up into the highest grade at Longchamp.
David confirmed: "Balios might head to France for the Grand Prix de Paris. He has come out of his Ascot race fine and we would like to think that he will carry on improving with racing. We will make a decision nearer the end of the week."
Balios was having just his third start when scoring in Group 2 company to give David and his team a first winner at the Royal meeting.
David added: "You went there hopeful that he would run very well and with a feeling that he would run well but not expectant - it's a brave man that would be.
"It was more of a relief that the horse vindicated what we thought of him."
