Ainslie scores at Leicester

AINSLIE gave the Trillium Place team a boost with a commanding performance at Leicester.

Trainer David Simcock had four second-place finishes in the previous six days, so it was great to see Ainslie get his head in front in an extended mile handicap.
The Mastercraftsman gelding was given a neat ride by jockey Silvestre De Sousa who held up the 11/4 chance until approaching the final quarter of a mile.
Ainslie cruised through  to lead inside the final furlong before going on to score by a three and a quarter lengths.
It was a first career success for the roan on what was his fifth career start.
