Wavelet wins, Bromyard so close

11 December 2015

WAVELET secured a deserved first career success when striking at Lingfield on Wednesday.

The Archipenko filly, owned by Miss Kirsten Rausing, had made the first three on each of her previous three runs.

But she made it into the winner's circle on her latest assignment after a game display in the hands of jockey Jim Crowley.

She hit the front with just over a quarter of a mile to go in the 10f median auction maiden and stayed on well to score by three parts of a length.
Yesterday, Bromyard suffered a narrow reverse in a mile and a quarter handicap at Chelmsford.
The Dark Angel gelding, successful last time at Wolverhampton, was just headed late on and finished second by a neck.
