KHAMEELA gave trainer David Simcock his second winner of the year when striking at Lingfield this afternoon.
The Equiano filly, owned by Huckleberry Racing, got off the mark at the second attempt when she took a six-furlong maiden auction race.
She had finished third on her only previous outing at Wolves over seven furlongs last October.
Sent off the 1/2 favourite, Khameela was close up early thanks to jockey Jamie Spencer.
Indeed, it was easily settled by the Simcock charge who skipped clear readily in the final furlong, going on to score by three and a half lengths.
