Wavelet wins again - success for 'Sing'

11 January 2016

WAVELET struck for the second consecutive race when victorious in a mile and a quarter handicap at Lingfield at the weekend.

Kirsten Rausing's homebred filly by Archipenko followed up her maiden triumph with a course and distance win under jockey Jamie Spencer.
She collared Chefchaouen in the closing furlong and then repelled the late thrust of  Miss Giler.
Wavelet had a neck in hand at the line, scoring off a mark of 69 and at odds of 11/4.
Singyoursong, owned by Mohammed Jaber, had earlier initiated a double for Trillium Place when taking the mile median auction maiden.

The even money favourite impressed on her debut at Kempton the previous month. With that experience under her belt, the daughter of Aqlaam proved considerably better than her rivals as she surged to success by three lengths.
