Listed one-two for Simcock team

TRAINER David Simcock capped a good week with a one-two in the Listed Daisy Warwick Stakes at Goodwood today.

Bateel, the 18/8 favourite, looked to be the stable first string in the marketplace but it was 10/1 shot Carnachy who stormed to victory.
Jockey Sean Levey got a great tune out of the four-year-old Mastercraftsman filly.
Carnachy tracked the speed for much of the mile and a half contest before being delivered in the final quarter mile.
She was in front with over a furlong to go and hung tough through the closing strides to score by a length and a half from her stable-mate.
Carnachy completed the three-time and has never finished out of the first two in any of her five career starts.
