BATEEL landed the odds in Listed company as Trillium Place continued its flurry of winners.
The Dubawi filly, owned by Al Asayl Bloodstock, easily triumphed in the mile and a half Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket for trainer David Simcock.
A previous course and distance winner, Bateel also relished the very soft underfoot conditions.
She was held up last of five by jockey William Buick before cruising up to challenge with a quarter of a mile to run.
Bateel, the 8/11 favourite, put the race to bed with little problem approaching the furlong pole and powered to victory by two and a quarter lengths.
David said: "On that ground she looks a different filly. She won three times on soft ground last year. When she gets on that ground, she's quite good."
Just half an hour later and it was Desert Encounter's turn to find the winner's enclosure – at Windsor.
The progressive son of Halling – owned by Abdulla Al Mansoori – made it four wins on the bounce by taking an extended 11-furlong handicap in the hands of talented apprentice rider Tom Marquand.
His 3lb claim proved more than handy with the victory margin just three parts of a length.
A day earlier and Trillium Place recorded an across-the-card double.
Jamie Spencer was aboard Red Cardinal, who completed his own three-timer for owner Walters Plant Hire when striking in an extended 11-furlong handicap.
Jockey Jim Crowley later triumphed in a six-furlong classified stakes at Newcastle on the Ali Saeed-owned West Coast Flyer..
