THERE was plenty to like about Mystic Dawn's debut success in a six-furlong maiden at Brighton yesterday.
The daughter of Oasis Dream, owned by Al Asayl Bloodstock, could hardly have been more impressive in settling the race in decisive fashion for her jockey Pat Cosgrave.
The David Simcock-trained filly was towards the rear during the early strides but travelled easily into her race.
And inside the final quarter of a mile she smoothly moved into contention before leading by the furlong pole.
Through the closing stages Mystic Dawn was untroubled as she ran out victorious by almost three lengths at odds of 7/2.
