Sunday double delight!

12 September 2016

TRILLIUM Place yesterday signed off in style from a week to remember with High Hopes and Unsuspected Girl combining for an across-the-card double.

Friday and Saturday had brought respective Group 2 wins at Doncaster's St Leger meeting, thanks to Sheikhzayedroad and Breton Rock.
And the long, good weekend was completed with the successes of High Hopes and Unsuspected Girl - the former at Ffos Las, the latter at Chelsmford.
High Hopes made it two wins on the spin, following up a mile maiden triumph at Ffos Las in a 10-furlong handicap at the south Wales racecourse.
The Zamindar filly, owned by Major Wyatt,  scored by a length at odds of 9/2 under a confident ride from Jamie Spencer.
Closer to home, Unsuspected Girl landed a mile-and-six-furlong handicap for apprentice ride Sophie Killoran.
It was a second win in the last three starts from the Tick Tock Partnership's filly by Rip Van Winkle.
