Breton Rock remains unbeaten

03 October 2012

BRETON Rock made it two wins from two starts when taking a 6f Conditions race at Salisbury this afternoon. The son of Bahamian Bounty was a winner over course and distance on his debut a month ago and he stepped up on that to remain unbeaten in style. Mutazamen set a decent early gallop and Martin Lane was always niggling Breton Rock along. Despite this Breton Rock never lost ground and picked up well in the closing stages to pass every rival to win by three quarters of a length. Lane said: “He’s a lazy horse and ran like that when he won his maiden. I always knew I’d get there and he has done it well. “Soft ground is key to him and I’d say he will stay a bit further.”
