TRILLIUM Place last week said goodbye to a great ally as long-term assistant Tom Clover moved on to set up as a trainer.
Clover, 30, will launch his business from Wroughton House at the base of Warren Hill on the other side of Newmarket. He will be starting alongside his partner Jackie Jarvis, daughter of the late Classic-winning trainer Michael Jarvis.
His long-term boss David Simcock said: “Tom worked with us for five years and he has been hugely loyal and helpful. He was a great team player for us.
“The best way to describe it is, I’ve enjoyed having him round – coming from me that in itself is a compliment!
“No doubt he will make a massive go of it and be successful. We wish him and Jackie all the best.”
