At the double at Newcastle

30 September 2016

DAVID Simcock recorded a double with his two-year-old team at Newcastle yesterday.

Zmyyran won for the second straight race, taking a nursery in confident style.
And there was success, too, for Sincil Bank who won a seven-furlong maiden.
Zmyyran followed up his first career success at Yarmouth with victory by almost four lengths in a mile contest.
The Henrythenavigator colt came from last to first in the hands of jockey Jamie Spencer, triumphing in the style of a real improver.
Sincil Bank was first past the post on his debut at Newcastle a month ago but was disqualified.
His return to the north-east venue saw a more satisfactory outcome as he surged to a three-and-a-half length win for Spencer.
