Hot Beat brings more success

16 January 2017

HOT Beat today won the Betway Middle Handicap (Class 3) over one mile and four furlongs under a patient ride by jockey Martin Harley at Wolverhampton.
Having his second start in Britain for trainer David Simcock, the Charles Wentworth-owned five-year-old gelding was quickly settled and tracked the field for the first circuit.
As the pace quickened, entering the home straight, Hot Beat was taken out wide and impressively passed the field over the final two furlongs to win by three quarters of a length.

Having previously ran in Germany and France in 2014 and 2015, Hot Beat - by Dylan Thomas out of Hungry Heart - had progressed from his first run in Britain last month and was giving the Simcock team their eighth winner of the year so far, an impressive start.
