VEENA achieved her second career success this evening at Newcastle Racecourse winning the six furlong fillies' handicap under Oisin Murphy.
The four-year-old, trained by David Simcock, hit the front one furlong from home and then battled on well to hold off challengers and win by a head.Veena, by Elusive City (USA) out of Kensita (FR), is owned by Chola Dynasty.
