16 March 2017
DOCTOR SARDONICUS showed that he was in good order when winning a competitive class three handicap over five furlongs this evening at Chelmsford.
Carrying top weight, the six-year-old gelding was settled behind the leading pair by jockey Martin Harley.
Moving three wide before exiting the bend, the David Simcock trained Doctor Sardonicus was driven forward to head the field and stayed on well to win by one and a half lengths.
By Medicean out of Never A Doubt, the Charles Wentworth owned gelding was scoring his fifth career win.
