BLESS HIM won the one mile maiden stakes tonight at Chelmsford City Racecourse under jockey Oisin Murphy.
The promising three-year-old colt by Sea The Stars (IRE) out of Happy Land (IRE) is owned by Qatar Racing Ltd and trained by David Simcock.Having only his second outing, Bless Him raced keenly from the break, eventually settling to track the leading pair.
With just over one furlong remaining Oisin Murphy shook the reins and Bless Him quickened to go clear, then staying on to win by three quarters of a length.
