SINGYOURSONG opened her account for 2017 by winning the Fillies' Handicap (Class 3) over 1m2f at Brighton this afternoon.
Jockey George Buckell responded to the fast pace from the break by settling the filly at the rear of the field, waiting until the three furlong marker had been passed before moving wide to challenge.
The pair quickened and headed the field one furlong out and stayed on well to win by two and a quarter lengths.
The four-year-old filly by Aqlaam (GB) out of Dhan Dhana (IRE) is owned by Saeed Jaber and was scoring her fourth victory from nine racecourse visits.
