Ms Gillard is a winner

MS GILLARD has won the one mile two furlong Fillies' Handicap at Great Yarmouth this afternoon.
Recently confirmed to be in foal to Archipenko (USA), Ms Gillard had previously been placed second or third in ten of her fourteen previous races.
Champion jockey Jim Crowley settled the four-year-old filly behind the leading pair and gently brought her to challenge three furlongs from home, maintaining her effort under a strong ride to take the lead inside the final furlong and win by a neck.
Ms Gillard is owned and bred by Miss Kirsten Rausing, who was present with trainer David Simcock to see her win.
