Rainford Glory wins at Lingfield

RAINFORD Glory landed a first career success when taking 1m4f handicap at Lingfield on Wednesday afternoon. The son of Rock of Gibraltar has benefited from a step up in trip and a top ride by jockey Jamie Spencer. Spencer settled Rainford Glory at the rear of the four runners. They went a decent pace and he travelled strongly before moving up to join the leaders rounding the final bend. He picked up well under hands and heels to hit the front and win a shade cosily by half a length.
