Another Eclipse wins maiden

04 July 2017

ANOTHER ECLIPSE scored his first win this afternoon in the one mile and two furlong Class 5 Maiden Stakes at Brighton under a firm ride by Jamie Spencer.
Another Eclipse was kept handy in the early stages, tracking the leaders in close order.
The three-year-old colt, by Lope De Vega (IRE) out of Black Dahlia (GB), then took up the running entering the final three furlongs and was kept to his work in a business-like manner by Jamie Spencer, going on to win comfortably by five lengths.
Another Eclipse is owned by Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum and trainer David Simcock was present witness the colt's first victory.
In the same race there was a pleasing run by the Simcock yard's debutant Seinfeld, who will have learned much from a positive first racecourse experience under Daniel Muscutt.
