Good Omen wins again

19 July 2017

GOOD OMEN scored his second victory for trainer David Simcock by taking the feature race, a one mile and two furlong class 2 handicap, at Great Yarmouth this evening.
The three-year-old colt, by Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) out of Magic Nymph (IRE), joined the Trillium Place team earlier this year and is owned by Mrs Q J Guo.
Jamie Spencer settled Good Omen in towards the rear of the field and maintained position as the pace began to quicken four furlongs from home. With two and a half furlongs remaining the pair moved out to press the leaders and challenged entering the final two furlongs, taking the lead for the final half furlong and staying on well under pressure to win by three quarters of a length.
