Goodwood win for Good Omen

03 August 2017

GOOD OMEN delivered a second 2017 Glorious Goodwood win for David Simcock's team by taking today's opening one mile and two furlong class 2 handicap.
The three-year-old colt was slowly away and at the rear of the field during the early uphill stages of the race. Jockey Jamie Spencer followed the leading horses favouring the far side rail and pushed to challenge over two furlongs out. Good Omen went second entering the final furlong and took the lead inside the final half furlong, staying on well to win by one and one quarter lengths.
By Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) out of Magic Nymph (IRE) and owned by Mrs Q J Guo, Good Omen was scoring his third success since joining David Simcock earlier this year.
