Sarshampla impresses

SARSHAMPLA is trainer David Simcock's first two-year-old winner of the 2017 season, having taken the five furlong class five Novice Stakes at Lingfield Park this evening.
From the break, jockey Andrea Atzeni held up Sarshampla in last place, tracking the field in the early stages of the race. Two furlongs out they quickened to challenge the leaders, heading the field with one furlong remaining and going on to win comfortably by one and a half lengths. 
The filly by Elzaam (AUS) out of Red Riddle (IRE) is owned by Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum and was having only her second run.
