More Group 2 success for Lightning Spear

LIGHTNING SPEAR delivered more Group 2 success for the Trillium Place team in winning the Celebration Mile Stakes at Goodwood this afternoon, under jockey Oisin Murphy, having previously won the same race in 2016. 
Held up in 4th place from the break, Lightning Spear chased the leading pair over one furlong out out and ran on well in the last 150 yards to take the lead with his final stride, winning by a nose.
A favourite in the yard and now six years old, it was a particularly pleasing victory for the team.
Lightning Spear is by Pivotal (GB) out of Atlantic Destiny (IRE) and owned by Qatar Racing Limited.
