First win for Ibn Al Emarat

IBN AL EMARAT has scored his first racecourse victory, winning the one mile class five Novice Auction Stakes at Goodwood this afternoon under Oisin Murphy.

They tracked the leading pair from the off and took closer order over two furlongs out. Over one furlong out they commenced their challenge and led inside the final furlong, staying on well to win by half a length.

The two-year-old cold by Excelebration (IRE) out of Grace Of Dubai (FR) was having his fourth racecourse visit and is trained by David Simcock for Ahmad Abdulla Al Shaikh.
