Veena wins under top-weight

VEENA gave trainer David Simcock his third winner of the evening by carrying top-weight to victory in the seven furlong Fillies' Handicap at Kempton Park.
The four-year-old filly, by Elusive City (USA) out of Kensita (FR), broke well and remained prominent throughout. Jockey Oisin Murphy delayed a final challenge until late and Veena responded to take the lead near the line, winning by a head.
Veena is trained by David Simcock for owners Chola Dynasty.
