Maximinus Thrax triumphs

08 January 2018

Maximinus Thrax confirmed his debut promise by winning impressively on only his second racecourse appearance, taking the seven furlong and thirty-six yard Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton this evening under Oisin Murphy.
The four-year-old colt was held up and tracked the leaders, making headway over two furlongs out and then staying on well under pressure to take the lead on the line, winning by a short head.
By Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) out of Ziride (FR), Maximinus Thrax is trained by David Simcock for Never Say Die Partnership.
