Intern wins comfortably

INTERN returned to the winners enclosure this afternoon after comfortably taking the one mile and half a furlong class 5 Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton, under Ryan Moore.
From the break Intern chased the leader, maintaining close order, and with over two furlongs remaining was asked to take the lead and then pushed clear, going away comfortably to win by thirteen lengths.
Now a four-year-old gelding, by Rip Van Winkle (IRE) out of Uliana (USA), Intern is trained by David Simcock for Orbis Bloodstock (UK) Ltd.
