Arod back in the winner's circle!

THE TRILLIUM Place team were celebrating again tonight after Arod returned to winning ways for the first time in almost three years

The seven-year-old, who joined trainer David Simcock last summer, proved very game in landing a mile Listed race at Windsor.

Jockey Oisin Murphy made most on the son of Teofilo, breaking from the widest draw of all in the seven-runner contest

Arod was soon on the front end and Murphy judged the fractions to perfection.

The favourite Oh This Is Us served up a sustained challenge through the closing strides but the Simcock runner wasn't for passing.

Arod, a 9/2 shot, battled hard right to the line where he had a neck in hand.

His victory maintained the feelgood factor at Trillium Place after the celebrations in the wake of Teppal's Classic victory in the Poule D'Essai des Pouliches at Paris Longchamp yesterday.
