First win for Mugatoo

MUGATOO secured his first racecourse victory today, on only his second attempt, taking the one mile three and a half furlongs class five Maiden Auction Stakes at Lingfield Park.

From the break the three-year-old gelding was ridden patiently by Jamie Spencer towards the rear of the field. Three furlongs out the pair switched right, pressing the leaders entering the final two furlongs and taking the lead entering the final furlong, going  on to win by one and a quarter lengths.
