Maverick Officer is back winning

MAVERICK OFFICER has won the one mile class three handicap at Haydock Park this afternoon under Paul Mulrennan.
Having been held up towards the rear, he was pushed along and made headway over two furlongs out, then quickened to lead entering the final furlong, battling well to stay in front and win by a neck.
A three-year-old gelding, by Exceed And Excel (AUS) out of Gradara (GB), Maverick Officer is trained by David Simcock for Mrs Fitri Hay.
