Trade Storm up in class

26 February 2013

TRADE Storm is set for a rise in class when in tackles the Group 2 Zabeel Mile at Meydan on Saturday. The son of Trade Fair was an easy winner in handicap company last time out and as a result his rating has risen to a career-high of 112. Jockey Jamie Spencer will be in the saddle again and the pair face seven rivals including former UAE Derby winner Musir. Simcock said: “Trade Storm won well last time and I imagine that he will have improved again but he would need to have in this sort of company.” On Thursday, Go Angellica has been declared for the Group 3 UAE Oaks. The daughter of Kheleyf was a Listed winner last season but failed to land a blow on her recent debut in Dubai. Her trainer added: “Go Angellica has benefitted from her run, she's improved physically but she's probably not quite there yet. She is training better since her race and she will run plenty better than she did first time, but she would need to." Red Duke will be another Trillium Place representative in Dubai. He lines up in the seven-furlong handicap on Saturday. Simcock said of his chances: “He ran well last time and I hope he can be competitive in an open-looking race.”
