First win for Caledonian Crusade

CALEDONIAN CRUSADE also got off the mark this afternoon, bringing up a Lingfield Park card double for trainer David Simcock and jockey Jamie Spencer.
Having gone close several times, Caledonian Crusade showed progress to win the 1m4f Handicap.The grey three-year-old gelding followed the leaders in close order, was was ridden and went second two furlongs out, challenged the leader over one furlong out to take the lead inside the final furlong and went on to win by two and one quarter lengths.
