ILALLIQA secured her first victory this afternoon, on handicap debut and only her third racecourse visit, taking the one mile handicap at Great Yarmouth under Jamie Spencer.
The three-year-old filly was steadied at the start and held up in rear of the field. She was switched right and ridden three furlongs out, making headway to chase the leaders, challenging the leader one furlong out and staying on well to win by a short head.By Muhaarar GB out of Sun Bittern USA, Ilalliqa is trained by David Simcock for Speriamo Bloodstock Pty Ltd.
