CARROTHERS showed further promise in scoring his second career victory at Southwell this afternoon, over one mile under Jamie Spencer.
The three-year-old colt raced prominently from the off, pressing the leader from three furlongs out and cruising to join the leader two furlongs out. He was shaken up entering the final furlong and nudged along to lead, winning comfortably at the line by two and a quarter lengths.By Mshawish USA out of Queenofperfection USA, Carrothers is trained by David Simcock for Sahara Thoroughbreds.
