Dirham Emirati gets off the mark !

DIRHAM EMIRATI got off the mark in fine style this afternoon, taking the one mile four and a half furlong Novice Stakes at Newcastle, under David Egan.
The three-year-old gelding tracked the leader throughout, was shaken up to lead over two furlongs out, edged right but kept on well to win comfortably by two lengths.By Vadamos FR out of Allez Y IRE, Dirham Emirati was having only his second racecourse appearance and is trained by David Simcock for Ahmad Al Shaikh.
