ISPAHAN very pleasingly scored his first career success this afternoon in taking the one mile and four furlong handicap at Brighton, under Jamie Spencer.
The four-year-old gelding was steadied at the start and held up in last until switched left with three furlongs remaining, made good headway over two furlongs out, was ridden to lead inside the final furlong and went on readily to win by four lengths.By Lope De Vega IRE out of Elle Galante GER, Ispahan is trained by David Simcock for Al Asayl Bloodstock Ltd.
