Desert Friend scores again

Desert Friend scored his second success of the season this evening, taking the two mile and half a furlong handicap on the turf at Lingfield Park, under Louis Steward. 
He tracked the field in rear until making headway three furlongs out, went second two furlongs out but did not get a clear run, switched right and was ridden one furlong out and ran on to lead and win by a neck.
A five-year-old gelding, by Universal IRE out of Assabiyya IRE, Desert Friend is trained by David Simcock for Abdullah Menahi and has now won two of his last three starts.
