Another win for English Summer

ENGLISH Summer made it three wins from his last four starts when taking a mile and a half handicap at Kempton yesterday evening. The son of Montjeu was following up on last week’s Wolverhampton success, carrying a 6lb penalty. Victory, however, never looked in doubt and English Summer cruised to an easy win under Andrea Atzeni. Atzeni tracked the leaders before asking his mount for an effort with three furlongs to run. Tingo In The Tail had set his sights on the finishing line but English Summer wore that rival down inside the final furlong, winning by a length.
