IT was a good evening for the Trillium Place team with both MORLAIX and DUBAI EMPEROR winning at Chelmsford City Racecourse.
Morlaix's win came in the one mile and two furlong class four handicap under Hayley Turner.
The five-year-old gelding was settled in rear until making headway over two furlongs out, was ridden and switched right over one furlong out and pressed on under a challenge to lead in the final half furlong, going away to win by one and a quarter lengths.
By Mayson GB out of Estemaala IRE, Morlaix was scoring his fourth career success and is trained by David Simcock for John Cook and Partner.
Dubai Emperor then scored his first racecourse success in taking the following one mile and two furlong class six handicap, under Stevie Donohoe.
The four-year-old gelding was steadied and held up behind the leaders until switched right when going easily into third over one furlong out, was then ridden to lead inside the final furlong and went clear to win by three and three quarter lengths.
