MASCAPONE was impressive in winning on stable debut this afternoon, taking the six furlong Maiden Stakes at Chelmsford City in fine style under Jamie Spencer.
The two-year-old colt was steadied at the start and held up in last until pushed along to make headway over one furlong out, challenged and took the lead in the final furlong and ran on well to win by one and a quarter lengths.By Massaat IRE out of Capelita GB, Mascapone was recently purchased by Australian Bloodstock and is trained at Trillium Place by David Simcock.
